The Director of Business Development oversees sales, marketing, and customer service activities within the Marketing Department. This role is responsible for achieving optimal utilization of the organization’s continuum of care through effective marketing strategies. As part of the facility management team, the Director participates in strategic planning, growth opportunities, projects, program updates, and recruitment efforts. The role involves managing the facility’s strategic marketing plan, enhancing its brand/image, overseeing sales and business development, and maintaining productive relationships with internal departments, especially communicating proactively with the CEO and Director of Admissions/Intake.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :

Analyze and designate target markets for account managers, considering their strengths and styles, ensuring alignment with prospective referral sources. Serve as a resource to marketing team members and department managers. Identify marketplace trends and demand shifts for niche programs, integrating findings into product development and marketing strategies. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all programs and services, including Inpatient, Residential, Outpatient, assessment processes, and transportation services. Experience may be evaluated in lieu of a degree. Experience: Minimum five years in organizational communications, referral development, workshop planning, sales management, and physician relationships, preferably within behavioral healthcare. Licensure/Certification: Valid driver’s license required. Knowledge: Understanding of the Ark-La-Tex and regional behavioral health market, insurance plans, referral sources, psychiatric and chemical dependency treatments, and age-specific programming preferred. Must demonstrate leadership, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in marketing principles, social media, public relations, data analysis, strategic planning, and customer service.
