See more at our website: Job Summary The Director, Business Development is responsible for facilitating the renewal of existing ConferenceDirect customer contracts, as well as providing business development activities for ConferenceDirect’s Housing, Registration, Mobile app and other technology services. Additional business development activities for additional services such as Site Selection, Contract Negotiation and Conference Management are encouraged. This Position is exempt and will report to the Senior Vice President, Operations. This position will exercise a high level of independence, accountability, good judgment, and attention to detail. Additionally, we require all employees to be vaccinated unless exempt for medical or religious reasons. Responsibilities Renewal Business Manage Trace dates for contract renewal Follow up with customers during the course of the business engagement to ensure customer satisfaction Monitor survey responses and escalate any response of concern Engage customers and associates to discuss contract renewals Conduct scoping conversations with customers Conduct sales calls / product demonstrations with customers Prepare Contract’s using approved contract templates Expected 80% of time spent on renewal business Business Development Respond to inbound leads within one business day (via web leads, direct requests, as well as leads from ConferenceDirect associates) Prepare responses to Requests for Proposals (RFP’s) Conduct scoping conversations with prospective customers Conduct sales calls / product demonstrations with prospective customers Conduct educational sessions with associates and team directors Conduct in person sales calls / presentations Prospect new leads through attendance at ConferenceDirect events, industry events, web research and other methods Prepare proposals of services using approved pricing calculators Prepare Contract’s using approved contract templates Follow up on outstanding proposals and contracts Expected 10% of time spent on business development activities Administrative Prepare Weekly Sales Report Participate in Weekly department calls Manage proposals and contracts in PandaDoc document system Manage customer information in CRM systems Manage sales documents in word and PowerPoint, using Sharepoint Expected 10% of time spent on administrative activities Additional responsibilities beyond what is listed above may also be required as needed Disclaimer Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
