Join our team and help bridge the gap between technology and public service! As a User Support Specialist II, you will serve as an application support liaison, a key connection between County departments, the Information Technology team, and external partners such as municipalities and software vendors. You'll play a vital role in supporting, maintaining, and improving the software applications that power essential County services. What You'll Do: Act as the primary liaison for ongoing support of software applications helping departments maintain and optimize critical systems. Play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of critical software applications within our Environmental Health Department. You will act as the primary liaison, providing ongoing support and optimization for our Accela-based systems. Facilitate efficient workflows within the Accela platform, enabling staff to manage well and septic applications and restaurant inspection processes effectively. Deliver comprehensive technical support to Health and Human Services initiatives. This entails analyzing staff's business needs to create, refine, and maintain effective technological solutions. Supported and maintained SQL Server databases, including generating ad hoc and SSRS reports. Collaborate with IT and external vendors to resolve technical issues and implement enhancements. Identify and communicate users need to assist in designing effective software solutions. Conduct system testing, troubleshoot issues, and ensure smooth operation of department-specific and Countywide applications. Train staff on software systems and develop clear, user-friendly instructional materials. Coordinate equipment moves and ensures proper tech setup at new or relocated workstations. Required Minimum Qualifications What you'll need: 1. a. Possess a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Public Administration, Criminal Justice, or a related field. b. Have had at least two (2) year of full-time work experience in one or more of the following areas: creating and maintaining databases, systems analysis, training users on systems, systems testing, systems implementation, or systems software upgrades; OR 2. a. Possess an Associate's Degree or equivalent education from an accredited college or university with a major in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Public Administration, Criminal Justice, or a related field. b. Have had at least four (4) years of full-time work experience in one or more of the following areas: creating and maintaining databases, systems analysis, training users on systems, systems testing, systems implementation, or systems software upgrades; OR 3. a. Must be a high school graduate or have a certificate of successful completion of the General Education Development (GED) test. b. Have had at least six (6) years of full-time work experience in one or more of the following areas: creating and maintaining databases, systems analysis, training users on systems, systems testing, systems implementation, or systems software upgrades. 4. Possess a valid motor vehicle operator's or chauffeur's license. Pay Range USD $67,241.00 - USD $90,091.00 /Yr.
