You will support projects that have a real-world impact on patients' lives. We're seeking a biomedical engineer that will play a role in the design, development, and implementation of Bioventus neurostimulation systems for the treatment of chronic pain. We need someone that can understand and support the clinical use of our neurostimulation systems and work with the product development team for new product development, and field support with clinicians. Key Responsibilities:

Participate in the entire product development process for medical device systems in a regulated design controls environment. Have a strong foundation of human anatomy and clinical application of Neuromodulation devices. Support requirements definition, design, implementation, verification, and validation testing. Participate in pre-clinical and clinical testing. Support communications with clinicians, patients, sales and marketing for product support and for new product development. Conduct research, feasibility studies, and in vivo testing. Interact with Regulatory Affairs, Sales & Marketing, Quality Assurance, and Supply Chain Management. Comply with FDA and other regulatory requirements. Support physician visits. Travel may be required occasionally.
Education and Experience (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
  • Bachelor of Science in Biomedical or Mechanical or Electrial Engineering. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in medical device development under a regulated design control process.
  • Experience with implantable medical device, especially active implantable devices highly desired.
  • Experience in clinical application of devices and implantable leads highly desired.
  • Experience CAD tools such as Solidworks or similar preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Good communication (oral and written), presentation, and interpersonal skills.
