Job Description

The Kerr Sr. Director, Marketing will be responsible for developing and executing a clearly defined marketing strategy that drives sustainable high growth and enhances brand equity. Portfolio scope includes Kerr Restoratives, Endodontics, and Rotary products. This role involves planning, organizing, recruiting, training, and managing all functions of product, practice, and consumer marketing to achieve sales growth, profitability, product utilization, and customer loyalty.

The Sr. Director will lead end-to-end responsibilities for new product introductions, from ideation to global commercialization, coordinating with marketing counterparts. This role also involves developing sales enablement and practice marketing content, leading NA communications, and demonstrating a proven track record of successful product launches and team development. The leader will collaborate with executives, global stakeholders, and cross-functional teams, utilizing analytics and a customer-centric, data-driven approach to identify root causes and implement solutions.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead and influence B2B and B2C marketing, advertising, online marketing, global branding, and PR initiatives in collaboration with Regional Sales, Business Leaders, and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs).
  • Create marketing strategies responsive to changing market and competitive conditions, analyzing market trends and assessing demand for current and new innovations.
  • Provide sales and regional marketing teams with effective tools, including key messaging, selling strategies, and product features/benefits.
  • Develop and execute product launch activities in partnership with product management, engineering, and operations.
  • Conduct market research using Voice of Customer (VOC) insights from clinicians and customers, as well as competitor analysis.
  • Maintain brand consistency across all marketing communications, including collateral, web, packaging, and event materials.
  • Manage marketing projects with external agencies and internal creative teams.
  • Leverage analytics to monitor and optimize marketing campaign performance.
  • Prepare and manage an annual marketing budget aligned with company goals.
  • Establish a market research function to generate prospect lists, regional assessments, customer surveys, and report findings.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of progressive sales and/or marketing experience, including digital response
  • Experience in medical devices
  • 5+ years of sales/marketing management experience
  • Willingness to travel approximately 30%

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA preferred
  • 10+ years of diversified, preferably global, business experience
  • Experience in the dental industry
  • Proven leadership and program management skills
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
