About the role: The Yamanaka Lab is renowned for its groundbreaking research in reprogramming adult cells into pluripotent stem cells. Our lab is committed to advancing the field of regenerative medicine and understanding the fundamental mechanisms of pluripotency and cellular reprogramming. We provide a collaborative and innovative research environment at the Gladstone Institutes/UCSF Mission Bay, offering access to cutting-edge technologies and a vibrant scientific community. What you will do: Critically review and synthesize relevant scientific literature to inform research directions. Design, propose, and perform molecular and cellular assays. Collect, analyze, and present experimental data during lab meetings. Conduct experiments utilizing techniques such as: Mouse handling and animal experiments. Genotyping. Molecular cloning. DNA, RNA, and protein preparation. Mammalian cell culture. What you will need: Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences or a related field. Prior research experience in a molecular biology lab is preferred. Experience handling mice is a plus. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced research environment.
