Job Description

The Regional Design and CX Lead is responsible for building R.E.D. Restaurants and elevating the customer experience by adapting global standards to local needs, building know how and optimizing capex by leveraging scale and efficient pipeline management.

Here’s How You’ll Spice Things Up:

Innovation (20%)

  • Define the asset strategy to drive profitable new unit growth and ensure a consistent brand image.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to develop and adapt prototypes that are easy to build and relevant for various markets in the region.
  • Share regional innovations with the Global team that are relevant for global usage and enhance the R.E.D experience.

Building Know How (40%)

  • Drive processes and communication to build a strong design community across the region.
  • Train and coach Business Unit Design & CX Teams, building a talent bench and exporting expertise.
  • Ensure all regional Design consultants are regularly trained, certified, and assessed.
  • Keep online manuals and toolkits up-to-date and ensure easy access for all BU DCx Teams, consultants, and franchisees.

Procurement (20%)

  • Lead the regional Build Smarter program focusing on cost management, value engineering, and regional procurement.
  • Ensure that all vendors are trained to KFC standards (technical and process), certified, and regularly assessed by the regional procurement team.

Pipeline Management (20%)

  • Ensure all KFC Design Submittals align with R.E.D design and Building Green Must-Haves through cross-functional collaboration.
  • Drive and support brand expansion through pipeline management, providing technical innovative solutions and insights.
  • Track, monitor, and evaluate remodels, providing scopes of work to achieve R.E.D Restaurant standards with optimized capex and minimal closures.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in architecture, Engineering, Design. MBA is a plus.

Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in Architecture / Design field with responsibility in commercial, restaurant and/or retail areas.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in technical areas including , architecture, consumer insights and project management.
  • Ability to work with all levels of management in multi-cultural environment and cross-functionally .
  • Able to influence/build relationships with all levels of management.
  • Communication , clear and effective across all media: digital, face to face, by phone and in writing.
  • Strong internal personal motivation , intellectual curiosity, logical thinking, and a desire to have a large commercial impact on the organization.
  • Ability to efficiently manage workload well with shifting priorities. Ability to work independently and multi-task in a fast paced and deadline-driven environment and generate actionable recommendations.
  • Strong knowledge of architecture related software systems including AutoCAD, Photoshop and proficient in the full Microsoft Office Suite .
