As a Radiology Technician at SSM Health DePaul Hospital, I am responsible for taking x-rays of designated parts of the human body for diagnostic purposes while ensuring compliance with radiation safety procedures. This full-time evening position includes performance of various imaging procedures, including plain films, fluoro, and portables. My role supports the imaging department and requires ARRT-R credentialing within six months of hire.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Takes x-rays of designated parts of the human body for diagnostic purposes and provides support for the imaging department. This position performs plain films, fluoro, portables, and OR exams and/or plain films and Bone Density

• Follows radiation safety procedures and guidelines
• Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION

• completion of a radiology certification program

EXPERIENCE

• No experience required

REQUIRED PROFESSIONAL LICENSE AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS 

• Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA) 
• And 
• ARRT-R Radiography - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within 6 months of hire
