Your Role

This is a Part-Time position (24 hours/week) based fully onsite in Middletown, CT.

Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday from 8 AM – 4:30 PM, with flexibility for changes.

What You'll Do

• Provide clinical nutrition and meal plans aligned with Walden's philosophy and objectives.
• Conduct thorough nutrition assessments and document findings using appropriate clinical terminology.
• Facilitate individual and group nutrition therapy sessions.
• Develop meal plans and guide patients towards nutrition rehabilitation.
• Participate in treatment and discharge planning with the multidisciplinary team.
• Deliver effective nutrition education to patients and their families.
• Communicate ongoing progress and care plans with all stakeholders involved in patient care.
• Supervise meal times and provide coaching to clients as needed.

What We’re Looking For

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Dietetics or Nutrition.
• Experience:
  • Preferred: Direct nutritional care experience in an Eating Disorder Service and Mental Health setting.
  • Required: Experience with menu planning and therapeutic diets in a healthcare setting.
• Licensure/Certification:
  • Licensed Dietitian in the state of MA.
  • Registered Dietitian with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
  • CPR Certification.

Knowledge & Skills

• Medical nutrition therapy.
