Competitive Pay : This position offers an hourly wage ranging from $25.00/hr. to $37.00/hr., depending on experience and qualifications. \n

New hires are eligible for a $5.000.00 sign-on bonus after 30 days of employment under the compensation.

Position Summary:
Under general supervision, installs machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, and other drawings in industrial establishments or at customer locations, using hoists, lift trucks, hand tools, and power tools. Inspects work progress, equipment, or sites to verify safety or to ensure that specifications are met. This position is a part of our Field Service department and does require travel to different sites.

Essential Functions:

\n

1. \n

   Replace defective parts of machine or adjust clearances and alignment of moving parts.

   \n
\n
2. \n

   Align machines and equipment, using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, and plumb bobs.

   \n
\n
3. \n

   Connect power unit to machines or steam piping to equipment, and test unit to evaluate its mechanical operation.

   \n
\n
4. \n

   Assemble and install equipment, using hand tools and power tools.

   \n
\n
5. \n

   Position steel beams to support bedplates of machines and equipment, using blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.

   \n
\n
6. \n

   Signal crane operator to lower basic assembly units to bedplate, and align unit to centerline.

   \n
\n
7. \n

   Insert shims, adjust tension on nuts and bolts, or position parts using hand tools and measuring instruments, to set specified clearances between moving and stationary parts.

   \n
\n
8. \n

   Move machinery and equipment using hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks.

   \n
\n

\n

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

  Attach moving parts and subassemblies to basic assembly unit, using hand tools and power tools.

\n
• \n

  Repair and lubricate machines and equipment.

  \n
\n
• \n

  Maintain daily time cards/time keeping.

  \n
\n
• \n

  Complete safety surveys, checklists.

  \n
\n
• \n

  Identify hazards.

  \n
\n
• \n

  Identify required materials.

  \n
\n
• \n

  Give directions to employees regarding start time, location, PPE, and compliance with site requirements.

  \n
\n
• \n

  Identify proper skill set per assigned task.

  \n
\n
• \n

  Drive / Drive other employees.

  \n
\n
• \n

  Maintain progression of job, attend customer meetings.

  \n
\n
• \n

  Submit change orders.

  \n
\n
• \n

  Identify consumables/supplies.

  \n
\n
• \n

  Verify receipt of materials / complete checklists.

\n

  Equipment Maintenance — Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed.

Training/Education and/or Special Qualifications:

An appropriate mix of education and experience which would allow the employee to obtain the knowledge, skills and abilities listed above; and at least 2 years of experience directly related to the essential functions as specified.
