Job Description

Overview:

We are looking for a mid-level Full-Stack Developer experienced with web-based applications development in a microservices architecture to join our team! On this project, Small Scrum teams work together within the Scaled Agile Framework to develop a telecommunications modeling system used to support DOD missions.

 

This position is located on Dahlgren Naval Base. Applicants must live within commutable distance of Dahlgren Naval Base in King George, VA or be willing to relocate. 

Travel: 10%; Regional only. Clearance:

An ACTIVE Secret Clearance issued by the Department of Defense (DoD) is required for this position. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. US Citizenship is required to obtain a clearance.

Requirements:

At least five (5) years of experience in Agile software, web-based applications, and micro-services development utilizing at least 4-5 of the following technologies:

 

- Experience developing complex, web-based applications utilizing MS Azure and/or Amazon Web Services Government Cloud.
- Experience programming in JavaScript, C#/.NET Core, Angular, TypeScript, SQL.

- Experience with containerization technologies (e.g. Docker)
- Experience working with an Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana stack.

- Experience using Argo CD.

- Experience using Jenkins and/or Kubernetes.

- Experience with work management and SW development tools (e.g. Azure DevOps, GitLab, Confluence).

Responsibilities:

Perform duties as a full-stack developer for complex, web-based applications utilizing Microsoft Azure and/or Amazon Web Services Gov Cloud.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

- Experience with SAFe Agile framework.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

- High-level of flexibility, creativity, and innovative thinking.

- Sec+ or higher

Education: BS degree in SW Engineering or related field or equivalent experience. Compensation:

Compensation at SimVentions is determined by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, education, training, security clearance, work location, skills, knowledge, and competencies, as well as alignment with our corporate compensation plan and contract specific requirements.

 

The projected annual compensation range for this position is $92,090 - $135,000 (USD). This estimate reflects the standard salary range for this position and is just one component of the total compensation package that SimVentions offers.
