FTE: Full Time, 1.0, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)
Shift: Days
Pay: $26.34 - $40.82 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience
Summary:
As supervised and delegated by a registered nurse, provides direct patient care in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization.
Responsibilities:
Contributes to the assessment of patients by collecting data for analysis by an RN.
Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, IV set up and delivery of maintenance IV fluids, specimen collection and wound care.
Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation. Assists with patient discharge and admission activities.
Monitors, documents, and communicates patient status and reactions to interventions. Implements the plan of nursing care and communicates abnormal findings to RN team lead.
Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
Requirements:
Licensed Practical Nurse
Licensed Vocational Nurse
Graduate of an accredited Practical or Vocational Nursing program.
Required Licensure/Certification: State licensure as a Practical Nurse (LPN) or Vocational Nurse (LVN). Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider.
Minimum Experience: None Required.
BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
