General Manager - Dog Daycare, Boarding, Events Chicago, IL We are seeking an experienced and motivated General Manager for a high-end dog hotel, daycare, and event space in Chicago. This role involves leading daily operations, managing a growing team, and expanding the business. It is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, is passionate about service and team development, and has a strong background in operations and client engagement. Key Responsibilities: Supervise and support a team of 12 to 16 members across various roles. Hire, train, coach, and retain staff, fostering a positive, high-performing culture. Cover shifts as needed, especially during shortages or call-offs. Ensure smooth daily operations including client services, facility standards, and pet care. Report to the CEO with regular updates and operational reviews. Drive business development through client retention, marketing, and growth opportunities. Oversee dog events hosted on-site. Track KPIs and implement process improvements for efficiency and satisfaction. Qualifications: 5+ years of leadership experience in pet care, hospitality, or service-based industries. Ability to manage schedules, supervise, coach diverse personalities, and hold team accountable. Strong customer service skills and a passion for creating positive experiences for people and pets. Self-motivated, organized, and willing to undertake any necessary tasks. Experience with sales, client retention, and growing service-based businesses.
