Diesel Mechanic - Direct Hire Opportunity\n\n

Location: Broussard, LA
\n Salary: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
\n Schedule: Monday to Friday

\n\nRole Description:\n\n

This is a full-time on-site Diesel Mechanic role located in Broussard, LA. The Diesel Mechanic will be responsible for performing maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on diesel engines and equipment, ensuring they operate efficiently and meet safety standards. The role will involve troubleshooting mechanical issues, conducting inspections, and maintaining accurate records of all work performed.

\n\nResponsibilities:\n\n

\n\t
• Perform maintenance and repair of diesel machinery, with an emphasis on in-shop work.\n\t
• Conduct field repairs as necessary (company trucks provided).\n\t
• Work primarily with industrial screw compressors.\n

\n\nQualifications:\n\n

\n\t
• Diesel engine maintenance and repair skills\n\t
• Experience with diagnostic tools and equipment\n\t
• Knowledge of hydraulic systems and components\n\t
• Basic electrical troubleshooting skills\n\t
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment\n\t
• Excellent problem-solving abilities\n\t
• Strong attention to detail\n\t
• Certification in Diesel Technology or related field a plus\n\t
• Must have own tools\n

\n\nAdditional Information:\n\n

\n\t
• The diesel side is similar on a lot of equipment, commonly using a 3-cylinder Kubota type engine.\n\t
• Experience is highly beneficial, especially with the air end, though it is teachable.\n\t
• Most diesel mechanics learn the engine side, while specialization comes with the operations side, akin to focusing on a certain field post-medical school.\n\t
• Minimum of 1 year experience in diesel mechanics, compressor repair, or as a technician is required.\n\t
• Strong preference for candidates with diesel and industrial screw compressor experience.\n
