Volt has partnered with a top server manufacturing plant in LaVergne, TN to help identify multiple Computer Repair Production Technicians for immediate hire.
As a Computer Repair Production Technician you will:
- Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting of computer hardware and software applications while performing/assisting the repair process
- Ensure product quality through repairing and testing of product to ensure specifications are met
- Document issues and report potential quality related problems to quality management
- Test and diagnostics of servers and components.
- Repair or replace parts as necessary for servers
- Troubleshoot technical issues and complete applicable documentation.
- Use of tools and test equipment of various types, to diagnose issues servers
- Disassemble and/or reassemble units according to the applicable work instructions.
- Order correct parts using the proper procedures.
- Test units according to work instructions and process flows.
- Responsible for inspecting products to ensure it is labeled correctly.
- Responsible for completing applicable paperwork completely and accurately.
- Responsible for entering repair data accurately into the QMS shop floor system.
- Document and communicate repair issues to engineering
- Data Collection and analysis for use in problem solving and continuous improvement
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Position is temp to hire. Position is full time, 1st shift working onsite at the LaVergne location.
The ideal candidate will have:
- 6 months or more of technical repair experience (server, computer, etc)
- 6 months of debugging or testing of electro mechanical assemblies required
- Anyone with experience building computers from scratch
- A plus certification is a plus
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in MS Office
- High School diploma or equivalent
Pay Rate: $21-22.50/hr
