Under the general direction of Chief Engineer II, the Chief Engineer I in LA Metro, leads and works with others to complete a variety of skilled work in the daily building and engineering operations, maintenance, special projects and repairs of building systems in LA Metro and the outlining buildings including heating, ventilating, refrigeration, and air-conditioning systems, auxiliary electrical plants and other mechanical and power equipment in State-owned and occupied buildings in accordance with FMD guidelines and manuals.

This position is designated under the Conflict of Interest Code. The position is responsible for making or participating in the making of governmental decisions that may potentially have a material effect on personal financial interests. The appointee is required to complete Form 700 within 30 days of appointment and once per year.
