About the Role
The Company is seeking a Career Coach for Early College Programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting students in identifying and achieving their career goals through both personal and group consultations. This role involves providing early outreach to students from low-income families and with disabilities, as well as their parents, to emphasize the importance of postsecondary education and to offer guidance on the preparation, application, and financial aspects of pursuing higher education. The Career Coach will also be involved in promoting academic and personal success, serving as a student advocate, and working with high school counselors to ensure student success. Essential duties include maintaining student records, scheduling career development activities, and fostering connections with external stakeholders to support students' career development. Applicants for the Career Coach position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree, with a Master's degree preferred, and at least 2-3 years' of related experience. A Facilitating Career Development Certification is also preferred. The role requires the ability to actively listen, communicate effectively, and demonstrate empathy, energy, and enthusiasm. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, able to multitask, and work unsupervised, with a strong commitment to the Arkansas Educator Code of Ethics. Responsibilities include meeting with students to discuss academic and career goals, assisting with work-based learning opportunities, and supporting students in industry assessments and employability skills. The position demands a high level of integrity, decision-making skills, and the ability to build and maintain a team-oriented work environment.
