Company: Skyway Behavioral Health Title: Experiential Therapist - Art Therapist FLSA Status: Salary - Exempt Location: Downers Grove, IL Skyway Behavioral Health is an innovative behavioral health center that goes beyond the treatment of psychiatric symptoms to address underlying biological, behavioral, and psychosocial causes of psychiatric disorders. Role Description Art Therapists report directly to the Program Manager at Skyway Behavioral Health (SBH). The Art Therapist develops, plans, implements, facilitates, directs and evaluates art-therapy based programming in specialized treatment areas. Experiential Therapists in general will have a strong ability to plan and deliver expressive arts activities within the group setting. Art therapists at SBH encounter a diverse array of patients and clinical need, such as individuals experiencing trauma and co-occurring disorders, notably eating disorders, personality disorders and mood/anxiety disorders. Art therapists will exhibit strong interpersonal skills with patience and colleagues, creative problem solving, empathy and passion for improving the lives of SBH patients. Essential Functions/Core Responsibilities

• Create art therapy based curriculum, implement and deliver art therapy groups
• Leads and or co-leads DBT group and provides DBT phone coaching, abiding by DBT structure and format
• Leads other groups and/or meals as necessary
• Conducting 1:1 individual sessions as needed with patients
• Demonstrate ability to build rapport with patients
• As clinically indicated, provide comprehensive and ongoing clinical assessment, suicide screening
• Complete progress notes, authorizations, and group notes in a timely, accurately and in accordance with SBH policy
• Responsible for providing clinical information and attend and participate in team meetings in which patient cases are discussed.
• Establishes and maintains effective communications and working relationships physicians, providers, and all colleagues.
• Participates in supervisions as needed and training as indicated by clinical programming
• Collaborates with the leadership team in creating and sustaining a culture of compassion and healing.
• Follows policies and procedures to accomplish department-specific and organizational initiatives.
• Ensures compliance with all applicable local, state, federal regulations, and guidelines.
• Maintain completion of all competencies associated with role and in accordance with Skyway Behavioral Health policies and subsequent Joint Commission standards.
• Performs other job duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required, Master's Degree is preferred (MA Counseling - Art Therapy)
• 2 or more years of clinical experience in a behavioral health or clinical setting
• Licensed eligible required (either LPC, LSW, PhD or PsyD)
• Exceptional organization skills, reliable and timely
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills that are clear, respectful and considerate of other’s perspective
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Clinical proficiency in treatment, diagnosis, and documentation.
• Reliable form of transportation to work.
• Proficiency in Microsoft products (Word, Outlook, Excel), and familiarity with use of EHR systems.
• Must provide proof of fully vaccinated status for COVID-19 within 90 days of hire
