Job Description
POSITION DETAILS:
Now hiring for an experienced custodian to start as soon as possible. This is a 1st shift position from 8am-4:30pm Monday-Friday with necessary overtime during peak season, starting at $17/hr
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Perform daily cleaning and light maintenance of offices, warehouse, grounds, and facilities
• Clean bathrooms, kitchens, walls, windows, floors, and dust surfaces
• Replenish supplies (paper towels, soap, toilet paper, etc.)
• Collect trash bins and process through the compactor
• Move empty skids and office equipment as needed
• Report safety, security risks, or mechanical issues
• Follow safety practices, management instructions, and company policies
• Maintain regular attendance
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily
• Completion of a high school diploma or equivalent education and experience
• Knowledge of materials, equipment, and techniques for cleaning and light maintenance
• Self-directed with the ability to work quickly, safely, and accurately with limited supervision
• Effective communication skills in a positive, customer-oriented manner
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
• Move, lift, and unload trash or recycling bins between 60-100 pounds .
• Able to walk, stand, lift, bend, squat/kneel, and twist/turn.
• Requires standing and moving body for long periods of time.
• Requires physical endurance to cover a large space, walking primarily on a level surface throughout the day, however on occasion may work on uneven work surfaces when working on outside grounds.
• Seeing, pinching, reaching above shoulder heights, below the waist, and as required to perform general cleaning and light maintenance duties.
• Lift up to 40 pounds.
